Responsibilities

Position Summary

The CBO Manager is responsible for partnering in the overall revenue cycle management of a regional Central Billing Office (CBO) to ensure maximum cash flow and protect integrity of Concentra assets.

The Details

  • Identify, analyze, and manage all issues pertaining to proper billing, deposits, payment posting and collections of center accounts receivable
  • Compile, analyze and present monthly accounts receivable reports
  • Coordinate and monitor month end closing procedures within the required time frame
  • Maintain and reconcile all month end reports and additional schedules
  • Review and summarize timecards and payroll for direct staff and CBO
  • Plan and coordinate special projects
  • Identify reimbursement opportunities and issues in all markets the CBO serves
  • Support operations using the BCS/OccuSource systems by providing reports and requested information
  • Identify and report staffing needs according to staffing model to the CBO Director and RVP of Reimbursement
  • Develop and maintain key working relationships with top clients/payers to ensure proper billing/collections
  • Meet with and schedule regular meetings with payers and employers regarding billing issues

Qualifications

Education/Credentials

  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance or business administration, or equivalent job relevant experience and/or education
  • In lieu of undergraduate degree, the ratio is 1:1 meaning one year of college equals one year of work experience and vice versa

Job-Related Experience

  • Customarily has at least five or more years of progressive healthcare billing experience including accounts receivables and multi-location practices
  • Customarily has at least six months of prior supervisory/managerial experience
