This position will manage the overall accounting for the clinic operations and corporate departments of
the Company, in conjunction with the Controller/VP of Accounting. The Accounting Manager will provide leadership, guidance and technical experience to the Accounting team in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Position supervises the preparation and review of financial statements, budget schedules and oversees the preparation of audit schedules.
• In a high-volume multi-site accounting setting, perform monthly accounting close process
including preparing and reviewing journal entries, account analysis, variance reporting and
reconciliations.
• Prepare detailed analysis and reports as requested by Management in a timely manner.
• Integrate acquired businesses in financial systems.
• Prepare accounting schedules for annual audit and provide general audit support.
• Oversee the preparation of schedules used in determining the appropriate levels for reserves and
allowances.
• Experience working with the accounting treatment of debt and equity financing.
• Review accounting structure for opportunities to gain operational efficiencies.
• Document internal procedures and accounting controls.
• Perform analysis of budget variances and determine drivers with a focus on root cause analysis.
• Work with senior management on special projects.
• Research variances to identify problems or trends and be prepared to present solutions.
• Determine appropriate methods of presentation
• Integrate the impact of new contracts and regulatory changes.
• Serve as a reference for and maintain files of information frequently requested by Executive
Management.
• Perform project research upon request, from Executive Management and Division Management.
• Identify problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions in order to make
recommendations.
• Develop policies and procedures in response to regulatory changes.
• Evaluate existing policies and procedures for effectiveness and application.
• Supervise and review Accounting team members.
• Evaluate, coach and mentor the accounting team.
• Create team development and performance plans.
• Provide quality control for the accounting unit’s work product.
• Provide training and development opportunities for all team members.
• Maintain confidentiality of all finance, accounting, and payroll data.
