We are seeking an Exercise Physiologist to join our team!
The Exercise Physiologist is responsible for promoting and maintaining the health and well-being for
client-based occupational medicine and/or health improvement programs, focusing on delivering
exceptional patient/client care. The Exercise Physiologist instructs participant in the proper principle of
exercise, physical activity to improve overall strength, flexibility and performance measures, promote
fitness progression, and assist in passing of work-related fitness testing (as applicable).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Evaluating a patient’s medical history and current fitness level
• Conducting stress and fitness tests in accordance with defined, industry-accepted protocols
• Administer maximal and sub-maximal cardiovascular fitness testing per accepted medical
protocols; includes monitoring heart rate, heart rhythms via EKG, blood pressure, and breathing
during the test to ensure patient safety throughout the procedure
• Measuring and monitoring vital statistics, including blood pressure, heart rate and oxygen level
• Developing customized exercise programs to meet unique patient needs and monitoring progress
over time
• Instruct patient/clients in proper principles of exercise, utilizing a variety of media and equipment.
• Demonstrate and maintain the alertness and the physical abilities to act in emergency situations.
• Implement and execute action plan on timely basis and ensure appropriate results, as defined by clinicians as needed.

Major:
Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology or a related field of study
Degree must be from an accredited college or university.
Education Details:
• Master's degree from an accredited college or university.
Certifications and/or Licenses:
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - CPR/1st Aid/AED required
• Certified as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist is desired
• Certifications that are preferred:
• ACSM
• ACE
• CSCS
Experience in lieu of required education is acceptable: No
Continuing education is required to maintain license and to perform job: No
Job-Related Experience:
Customarily has at least the following experience:
• Customarily has at least two (2) years of experience in direct patient program creation

This position has no budget responsibility.
Physical/Mental Requirements:
Work continually requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and
finger dexterity to operate various clinical and office equipment, and eye-hand coordination. Frequent to
constant sitting long periods of time to attend meetings and complete documentation necessary.
Frequent reaching, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, and gripping to administer patient care and
perform employee jobs task during ergonomic job analyses. Occasional climbing required to access plant
sites and job locations. Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds required. Must be able to perform near acuity,
far acuity and accommodation to complete documentation care and perform job analyses. Hearing within
the acceptable range for telephone/in-person contacts. Requires working under pressure during
emergency situations or during irregular hours.
Work is performed in a work/clinical site environment. Involves occasional exposure to communicable
disease, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations and other conditions common to a
clinic environment. Must be able effectively resolve conflicts as they arise. Could be exposed to extreme
heat and/or cold.
The mental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to
perform the essential functions of this job successfully. In this position, the employee may have imposed
pressure on a consistent routine basis to meet various deadlines, contact with people in stressful and
unpredictable situations and to handle confidential and sensitive information and situations with care.
Travel:
Minimal overnight travel up to 10% by land or air may be required of employee in this position.
While travelling the employee may encounter varying weather conditions, road and walking surfaces and
will need to adjust to those conditions (i.e., inclement weather, slippery surfaces, wet surfaces, uneven
surfaces, humid, cold or hot temperatures, etc.) Also, while travelling the employee will need to adjust to
the physical demands that may include: lifting to place luggage in overhead bin(s), standing in line(s),
walking, sitting for unknown periods of time, and other physical demands that travelling may impose on a
person.
This position is eligible to earn a base compensation rate in the state range of $44,661.76 to $66,560.00 annual salary depending on job-related factors as permitted by applicable law, such as level of experience, geographic location where the work is performed, and/or seniority.
